A can sealing machine drifts. Rollers wear, settings creep, a bump in transit changes the gap. If nobody checks the seam, leaky cans reach customers. Calibration is the unglamorous discipline that keeps a sealing line honest — and it is built into how we run our plant.
What we measure
Per batch we tear down and measure the double seam:
- Seam height and width against the can-and-lid spec.
- Body and cover hook overlap.
- Tightness under a leak test.
Any value outside the window triggers a roller adjustment before production continues.
Why it matters for buyers
- A calibrated sealer protects shelf life — no slow leaks that flatten a carbonated SKU.
- It protects the 30% purchase-intent bump a clean clear can earns on the shelf.
- It means a contract filler sees a consistent package run to run.
For brands buying our machines
We ship each sealer with the calibration baseline for our cans and document the check routine, so your operator can repeat it. A five-minute seam check beats a container of rejects.
